The OC Metro states that Sunwest has acquired MetroPacific Bank and its $70 million of deposits and loans.

“Individuals who banked with MetroPacific will be able to access their money through checks, ATM and debit cards, while loan customers can continue to make payments as usual. Sunwest Bank representatives will also be on hand at the former branch to answer questions from existing and prospective customers.”

According to SunWest, the company has double the amount of capital it requires to function healthily.
