The Chicago Tribune reports that the state of Illinois has “15 undercapitalized banks and is in a two-way tie with Georgia for the states with the most banks that have failed to set aside the amount of money required by regulators.”
According to a preliminary March 31 report done by SNL Financial, 89 banks across the country do not have enough capital.
