According to the Tampa Bay Business Journal, Bank of America is planning on laying off 81 of its Tampa employees.

The cuts will take place between August 14 and November 27 at an administrative office at 5301 Idlewild Ave.

“The layoffs are related to the announcement late last year saying Bank of America expected to eliminate 30,000 to 35,000 positions over the next three years, reflecting the merger with Merrill Lynch and the weak economic environment, said Nicole Nastacie, a spokeswoman for the bank.”
